The Ellipse Screen Version 1
Inspired by a well-defined sketch during a live jazz show, this project finally reaches completion after five years, mostly after getting the correct LED system.
Ellipse frame is 36” wide x 52-1/2” tall x 3-1/4” deep.
The blue background represents a wall and also facilitates handling. All painted surfaces can be repainted as desired.
Composed mainly of painted MDF and plywood, the “cross” element is quartersawn Doug Fir with Ebony stain and semi-gloss finish. The screen is 140 lb. watercolor paper, pleated and also finished with clear lacquer. Behind the screen is WIFI Smart LED strip light RGBWW by Tatazone, arranged in a grid panel.
